FAQs

Answers Before You Ask

What is the best time for a safari in Kenya? +
The best time is during the dry season from June to October, which also coincides with the Great Migration in the Masai Mara.
Do I need a visa to visit East Africa? +
Most visitors to Kenya (eTA), Tanzania, and Uganda require an eVisa/entry permit. Rwanda offers visa on arrival for many. We recommend applying via official govt portals at least 2-3 weeks before travel.
Is a Yellow Fever vaccine required? +
It is required if traveling from a country with risk of YF transmission. It is highly recommended for all East Africa travelers, and mandatory for entry into Tanzania from Kenya.
Can I see Mt. Kilimanjaro from Kenya? +
Yes! Amboseli National Park in Kenya offers the most iconic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro across the border in Tanzania.
What is the Big Five? +
The Big Five are Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino. They were originally named by hunters as the most difficult animals to hunt on foot, but now they are the most sought-after for photography!
Is it safe to go on a safari? +
Yes, safaris are generally very safe. Our guides are highly trained professionals, and we only use secured, vetted accommodations.
What should I pack for my safari? +
Light, breathable clothing in neutral colors (khaki, beige, green), high SPF sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, and a good camera.
What is included in the package price? +
Typically, our packages include luxury accommodation, all meals, professional guide services, park entrance fees, and 4x4 transport.
